I’m so right-brained that it’s almost silly. I get easily lost and turned around when I leave the house. I ride my bike for blocks and blocks, only to realize that I’ve been going the wrong way. […] I feel like I’m the captain of an invisible ship that I’m trying to keep afloat. Whenever I pull off a decidedly left-brained activity, I feel like it’s quite a victory. Maneuvering through the world and trying to do things in the correct order at the correct time is challenging to me. I often feel like I don’t naturally function the way one needs to function in order to get by in the world.
